K9 Bite Dog Food

A subsidiary of Verdure Africa that already produces dog food with local small industries. Driven by strong demand, we're building Ghana's first industrial-scale dog food factory — starting with a high-energy formula for domestic and working dogs.

Ghana is our production base, with planned exports to West African markets. We welcome partners and investors from across Africa and around the world.

The problem

Pet owners, retailers and vets are underserved — demand for quality, affordable dog food far outstrips supply.

High dependence on expensive imports

Over 90% of dog food sold in Ghana and West Africa is imported. Import taxes, shipping and currency swings put quality food out of reach for most owners.

Rising pet ownership

Urbanisation is growing a middle class that treats pets as family — but clinics and shops struggle to stock affordable, trusted local brands.

No local production infrastructure

There are no large-scale dog food facilities or established pet food quality standards in the region. Most dogs are fed table scraps or inconsistent homemade blends.
